FROM THE FOUNDER

For as long as I can remember, I dreamed of becoming a florist—but for years, I quietly told myself it was a dream I’d save for retirement. Instead, I followed a more traditional path and built my career as a registered nurse, maintaining my floral design skills as a hobby.

In 2024, I got engaged. As I dove head first into designing, planning, and constructing my own wedding florals, I felt the pull towards my dreams again, but this time it felt possible. Why not go for it?

After never feeling fully connected to my nursing career, I finally decided to abandon that path and open the door to my passion, floral design.

I did not know what this journey was going to look like, but through the connections I made while planning my own wedding I was able to jump in. I gained hands on experience working as both a florist and wedding coordinator with one of the best in the Cincinnati wedding industry. Learning constantly and falling in love with helping couples bring their visions for their big day to life! My new happy place is... work...? Who would've thought? 

My lifelong dream turned into my reality.

With experience as a wedding coordinator and training under an established florist, I gained a deep understanding of both the creative process and the behind-the-scenes logistics that go into a seamless wedding day.

Each wedding day I was able to put under my belt fueled my spirit and passion, encouraging me to finally open my own event floral design company, J. Tresa Designs.

Immediately feeling the support of my family, friends, and surrounding community as I began working with more and more amazing people and designing the florals for their weddings and events. Getting to work with such thoughtful, fun clients through each unique floral design process leaves me always feeling so grateful to be doing what I love while bringing joy to others through flowers!

My goal is simple: to make the planning process easier, calmer, and more enjoyable for couples. Florals should never feel like another stressor on your to-do list. Instead, I strive to be a guiding, reassuring presence—someone you can trust to listen, offer thoughtful direction, and bring your vision to life with confidence and care.
