FROM THE FOUNDER
I can't remember a time my dream wasn't to be a florist.
For as long as I can remember, I dreamed of becoming a florist—but for years, I quietly told myself it was a dream I’d save for retirement. Instead, I followed a more traditional path and built my career as a registered nurse, maintaining my floral design skills as a hobby.
In 2024, I got engaged. As I dove head first into designing, planning, and constructing my own wedding florals, I felt the pull towards my dreams again, but this time it felt possible. Why not go for it?
After never feeling fully connected to my nursing career, I finally decided to abandon that path and open the door to my passion, floral design.
I did not know what this journey was going to look like, but through the connections I made while planning my own wedding I was able to jump in. I gained hands on experience working as both a florist and wedding coordinator with one of the best in the Cincinnati wedding industry. Learning constantly and falling in love with helping couples bring their visions for their big day to life! My new happy place is... work...? Who would've thought?
My lifelong dream turned into my reality.
With experience as a wedding coordinator and training under an established florist, I gained a deep understanding of both the creative process and the behind-the-scenes logistics that go into a seamless wedding day.
Each wedding day I was able to put under my belt fueled my spirit and passion, encouraging me to finally open my own event floral design company, J. Tresa Designs.
Immediately feeling the support of my family, friends, and surrounding community as I began working with more and more amazing people and designing the florals for their weddings and events. Getting to work with such thoughtful, fun clients through each unique floral design process leaves me always feeling so grateful to be doing what I love while bringing joy to others through flowers!
My goal is simple: to make the planning process easier, calmer, and more enjoyable for couples. Florals should never feel like another stressor on your to-do list. Instead, I strive to be a guiding, reassuring presence—someone you can trust to listen, offer thoughtful direction, and bring your vision to life with confidence and care.
At J. Tresa Designs, it’s about more than flowers—it’s about easing stress, creating beauty, and allowing you to feel supported every step of the way. Every arrangement is created by us with intention, collaboration, and genuine excitement for your day.

What's New for JTD?
We were originally based in Cincinnati, but we are currently transitioning with the plan for most of our 2027 clients to be based in the Metro Detroit area as that is where we physically plan to be by 2027! We want to grow our family soon and therefore we have officially decided to start transitioning our business closer to family. Therefore, my 2027 couples in the Michigan area I would love to chat and help curate your wedding day vision!

What to Expect in the Early Floral Planning Phase with J. Tresa Designs
Complete our Inquiry Form!
Fill out all of the info you have so far in regards to your event and floral ideas! If you aren't quite sure of your ideas or need some direction, don't worry we can help you once we meet on Zoom!
Now we get to play!
After receiving your inquiry form, we will review your ideas, pictures, and budget! From there we build a custom proposal showing you flower types, pictures to give a visual, pricing, and any substitutions we may need to help accommodate your budget!
We meet and discuss!
After we have completed the proposal, we finally get to meet! Over Zoom, we discuss the proposal and make notes of what you like and/or dislike! We will also go over pricing, our contract, and any questions you may have for us!
Let's work together to make your vision come to life!
After adding revisions to your proposal, we will send you the proposal, contract, and an invoice for your floral deposit! This deposit ensures you then have JTD signed for your event date!
